The vision when Studio K-Fit first opened it's door in 2013 was to create a place that had an uplifting feel to it, a place for people to disconnect from the fast pace of the Bay Area, connect with encouraging people and recalibrate themselves physically, mentally and emotionally.
This was a direct result from the previous 10 years of personal training hundreds of individuals in various stages of life with all sorts of goals and obstacles. From multi-tasking moms to busy Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, I was fortunate to learn a common theme of what people were looking for in terms of their workouts.
Those things combined with some recent research on cardiovascular training inspired me to develop our small group workout; K-Fit HIIT.

Studio K-Fit's promise is to provide high intensity, low impact workouts that are challenging, research based and highly effective.
The philosophy of the studio is centered around providing small group workouts with individualized focus. Each trainer takes the time to learn the limits and capabilities of each member, encouraging constant progress without sacrificing safety.
Our focus during workouts are on strength training, mobility and cardio primarily via HIIT (high intensity interval training) which according to numerous recent research is the best way to improving cardiovascular and mental health. Personalized nutrition, lifestyle coaching, outdoor gatherings, and community service round out the Studio's offering.
At our core, we're a fitness Studio that's community driven not only through our unique workouts, but also through building positive relationships. Our aim is to teach, inspire, and encourage the sharing of inspiration to others via our members.
Over the years, we've learned that in order to maintain our health in peak condition, we must focus on things beyond the workouts as well. We look to educate and inspire each member to develop the best version of themselves physically, mentally and emotionally.

Our Workouts:
The workouts trigger the 3 major energy systems in the body. The more energy systems activated during a session, the more calories are used up. In addition, workouts generate a direct response by the endocrine system, providing positive hormonal benefits post workout.
This leads to higher overall energy, more effective fat burning during rest, mental clarity and deeper sleep.
Workouts are also geared to activate the EPOC effect via our HIIT focused workouts. HIIT stand for High Intensity Interval Training. EPOC (Excess Post Oxygen Consumption) is a measurably increased rate of oxygen intake following strenuous activity intended to erase the body's "oxygen deficit." It’s basically the after-burn effect, which helps you burn more calories after the workout is over.
Beyond the science, the concept for amazing results is simple: Consistent fitness habits at the right intensity and variety creates changes. Whether you're doing personal training or small group training, you'll never do the same workout twice.
